Maternity Wear

I'm not even pregnant yet, but I keep looking at maternity and baby clothes. My favourite website so far for maternity stuff is ASOS. They're relatively inexpensive and not too 'mumsy'. Here are a few of my favourites from the website;

Lace dress, 40.00                                                                       Pleated dress, 40.00

Cream blouse, 30.00                                                                             Maxi dress, 15.00

    Orange blouse, 15.00

I'm back!

I didn't realise how long it's been since I last posted! It's been completely manic around here lately, so I've barely had a chance to think! So here are a few updates;

TTC- My period came a week or so ago, so I'm now on CD9, and back to square one! It's not all doom and gloom though, because it's my first real bleed since coming off the implant, so it's a bit of a relief to know everything's gone back to normal! I had a 26 day cycle, and 11 day luteal phase, so it all seems pretty much okay at the moment!

The engagement party went amazingly well, and I had such an amazing time! I couldn't find anything that I actually wanted to wear, so we went shopping the day before and I found a gorgeous playsuit to wear. It's from Republic, and only cost 20 pounds, so I was rather impressed!

And here are a few pictures from the day:

We also moved the day before the party, so the last few days have been completely hectic! We've finally sorted the flat out, we're all settled and I am loving life right now!

7dpo

I haven't been on here for a few days again, mainly because I don't have much to say and don't want to babble you all to death!
Today, I am 7dpo, and having a hell of a lot of symptoms. I don't think I've had an implantation dip in my temperature yet, so even if I have caught the eggy this month, I don't think I will technically be 'pregnant' just yet. If anyone wants to take a look at my chart, it's here... BBT and Ovulation chart.

I've had a bit of a slow week so far to be honest, and I'm quite happy, because next weekend is a busy one! Moving, testing, and the engagement party. Safe to say, whether I'm up the duff or not, I'm going to be bloody knackered!
I have been testing already (crazy, I know!) on my ICs, and so far, all negatives (no surprise there, at 7dpo!). But I will make sure to keep you all informed!

4 DPO!

Firstly, I'm sorry I haven't posted on here for a few days! I've been so bloody busy I haven't had time to write properly, and I didn't want to put a half-hearted sentence on here!
I am currently 4DPO, and I have so many symptoms, it's unreal! Here is a list of some of them:

  • Bloating
  • Cramps
  • Feeling 'heavy'
  • Sore abdominal muscles
  • Achy legs and hips
  • Backache
  • Boobies feel full
  • Darkened areola
  • Montgomery's Tubercles
  • Sensitive and tender breasts
  • Sore and sensitive nipples
  • Feeling anxious
  • Moody
  • Irritable
  • Weepy
  • Light headed-ness
  • Increased Thirst
  • Headache
  • Increased saliva
  • Strange taste in mouth
  • Stuffy nose
  • Fatigue
  • Sleeplessness
  • Vivid dreams
  • Frequent urination
  • Food aversion
  • Weird appetite
  • Nausea
To be honest, I know they're all pretty much irrelevant, because even if this is 'my cycle', I won't have even had implantation yet! I'm trying to hold off at least until Friday before I do a test, but will be using my FRERs on the 19th, which will be a big weekend! I move on the 19th, and have my engagement party on the 20th! So maybe a third celebration for the weekend?! Fingers crossed!

Warning: Graphic images!

I was doing a bit of browsing, and I came across these amazing, and insightful pictures, by a photographer named Patti Ramos, and I thought I'd share them with you.

This is the baby's head crowning. Personally, I think it looks absolutely terrifying, but beautiful at the same time!

Here is another of the baby's head, this time a little further out. Look at that hair!

The baby's head is almost out in this picture, how amazing is this?!

And finally, the baby is out! After all the hard work you go through to get to this point, it must feel so rewarding to hear that cry, and at last, have your very own baby in your arms.

Look at the umbilical cord! I think this may be my favourite picture of them all. It really makes you think, that's the thing that has connected you, and your baby for the last 9 months. Amazing.

This one kind of grosses me out, and to be honest, I can't see the beauty in this one! But here it is, the placenta.

This is one from another collection of Patti's, and is a picture of the amniotic sac. In all honesty, I think it looks like a used condom. But that's just me!

And this, is probably the most graphic of all. Can you guess what it is? It's the uterus after a c-section. Here it is resting on the new mother's abdomen. The photographer notes that you can distinctively see the fallopian tubes on either side. Wow.

Hospital Appointment

I had my hospital appointment today, for the results of my smear test and for a checkup, and guess what? I'm all clear! I'm all fine to start making and having babies :) We bought some Conceive Plus today, and it was perfect timing; I got home, did an OPK and got my first positive! So fingers crossed we catch the egg on our first month of TTC. I've also been charting over the last few days, to try and keep track. It's here if anyone wants to look; My Ovulation Chart. It's been a bit up and down lately, and I've been taking my BBT at the same time every day. I also bought some FRERs today, so I'll let you all know the results when I finally get around to doing them!

Monday 1 August 2011

Just thought I'd share some pictures of our recent trip to Egypt :) We were there for 5 weeks, it was nearly 50c, and the most amazing time of my life!
